Anchor Tabernacle started out in 1983 by Pastor George & Sis. Billie Bostic in the pool house of Alvin & Nadine Rogers, under the name of First Pentecostal Church (later First Apostolic Church). They pastored here until 1999 when our current Pastor, Rev. Robert Wise came. Bro. Bostic passed away not long after Bro. Wise came. The church family decided on a name change in 2005 and we are now Anchor Tabernacle! Hebrews 6:19 "Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil."

Anchor Tabernacle is a wonderful group of people from north Louisiana who loves God and soul winning. To each member the church family has become "family". Pastor Wise is a very compassionate and gentle man and his goal is to help the people of God build a relationship with God on a very personal level. Prayer and Fasting and the Word are on the agenda quite often, as we grow together.
